Brushes and Palette Setup.

In this short video I'll share with you the paint brushes I'll be using and the colors in the standard palette. If you'd prefer to read it, here is the short version.

You will need the following paint brushes:

  • Large Filbert synthetic brush for scrubbing in colors
  • Mop Brush for blending
  • Robert Simmons Synthetic brushes for details
  • Metal Palette Knife for scumbling

My Palette consists of the following colors:

  • Titanium White
  • Ivory Black
  • French Ultramarine Blue
  • Cobalt Blue
  • Sap Green
  • Alizarin Crimson
  • Burnt Umber
  • Burnt Sienna
  • Cadmium Orange
  • Yellow Ochre
  • Cadmium Yellow

IMPORTANT NOTE

You'll notice that I reference the paints in a specific order, this is the order that I place my paints every single time. Why? It's like getting to know the keys on the piano, or the frets on a guitar - when you know where they are the movements become automatic.
